Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then went to at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her competitions.
