Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was apparent from the time she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas to become a professional athlete. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix won the first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. The youngest participant in the 200 meter in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title the following year, beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in each of her events.
